The Area 51 Clan!

Hello, we've undergone some minor changes

We have made some pretty important changes to Area 51. Over the past 4 years, the Area 51 Clan has been an exciting place for gamers to hang out. As the clan aged, the enthusiasm of our members rose greatly.

From having only a handful of members as a Swat 4 Clan, we started to span out and support other games like the endlessly popular Call of Duty series. Throughout most of the clan's life, we've had a military structure. From our ranks (Recruit, Private, all the way up to General) to our positions (such as President, Chief of Staff, or Secretary of Defense), we stuck to it.

Over time, it has become more and more necessary to change our clan's structure. What's the point of having 22 ranks and over 30 positions if our members aren't interested in filling them? Unfornately, our former President, Merlin, was not in favor in making any structure changes and was more willing to let the clan continue its downward spiral without making any effort to make improvements.

The reason why the incumbent President, Merlin, was removed was his intense hostility against any attempts to change the clan. The former President threatened his Vice President, Underline (myself), with removal from his position on the grounds of simply discussing the interest of reforming the clan. Did we use the United States Military's ranks but not its freedom of speech? At the time where Merlin was threatening me, I felt it was necessary and important to Area 51 to remove Merlin from his position and install myself to help the clan. Prior to this confrontation, the former President banned and removed a high ranking member from the clan on the basis of discussing a possible renovation. Yes, a member was removed just because he said something the President didn't like to hear.

As the Leader of Area 51, I plan on removing all of the ranks in the clan, as well as removing positions. Basically, now in Area 51, you can either be a Member or an Administrator. We'll become a closer, better Community now; not a Clan. We'll stop supporting only certain games and simply be a place to hang out with other members and play games together! We're hoping that you'll stick around and see all that the Area 51 Community has to offer.
